Stores Associate

We are looking for a Stores Associate to join the Stores team at Fabrinet UK.  The key purpose of this role is provide accurates kits to production, in a timely fashion, to ensure that manufacturing is not delayed through part shortages

Key responsibilities include:-

  • Ensure that all goods are booked in/out correctly in  a timely fashion
  • Ensure mandatory visual identification and physical segregation of any Suspect or Confirmed Counterfeit materials that ensures absolute containment (affirmed physical destruction for confirmed cases) of defective parts. Parts MUST not be allowed to re-enter Supply Chain - bonded storage locations are advised
  • In case of a Suspect of Confirmed Counterfeit material case check and ensure a PIMS Corrective Actions is raised and raise one if not already existing to ensure appropriate quality response and reporting
  • To ensure counterfeit risks are effectively mitigated by meeting traceability requirements as stipulated on POs for incoming parts.  Usually Batch/Lot code and CofC requirements and/or FAIR requirements
  • To ensure that counterfeit risks are mitigated through effective vetting of incoming paperwork, parts and packaging, flagging any unusual or suspect appearances for supervisor or quality review, physically segregating material until approval decisions are made
  • To ensure all documentation requirements and health and safety requirements are met before booking in
  • To ensure any routings to inspection are met where required before passing product onwad to stores, kitting or production
  • Make up kits accurately for production and ensure correct parts and quantity at all times to keep manufacturing down time to a minimum
  • Count back parts that are returned to stores from production ad update the system accordingly to ensure accuracy of data and reduce attrition
  • Ensure stores database (CS3) is accurate and improve data integrity to reduce the number of part shortages
  • Ensure that all goods are stored and handled correctly and full adherence to ESD requirements
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team on any part shortages to ensure that when the goods are received they are booked in urgently and production informed of receipt

The ideal candidate will have:-

  • Good communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Methodical and logical approach to ensure accuracy of kits
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent team player and can work on own initiative 
  • “Can do” attitude
  • The ability to work flexibly when required including weekend working on occasions
  • Previous stores/warehouse experience is desirable
